About Mission

Our church has a vision to see a transformed region. Mission is about every one of us following the call to go and get involved in either our local region or other regions all around the world. Mission carries with it a strong sense of purpose, and finds us going into all kinds of places and doing all manner of activities centred around building relationships, loving people and meeting needs.

Local Region

For most of us, mission means obeying the call to go into the region we live, the beautiful SW, with a sense of purpose. This is a beautiful part of the world, no doubt, but things can be better. We believe God is at work in our region, in all kinds of ways, not just in churches, and we encourage everyone to consider how God might be sending them to go into the region and be a part of this mission.

As part of our vision for seeing transformation in our region, we partner with a number of local mission opportunities in the South West. Other Regions

Having a heart for mission means having a heart for the whole world, and other regions apart from our own. We recognise that some have a special calling to go into other regions for mission service. We hope everyone takes the opportunity to follow a call into another region of the world, even for a short term of service. We especially want to encourage and support people who have that calling to serve longer term.

We love people because God loves people … so no matter where they are in the world, we love to work with mission partners in lots of different places who are doing amazing things to demonstrate that love.  Every year we give, serve and pray for mission partners like Christian Surfers, the Living Foundation and a range of others. Our “Out There” Mission Team has been formed to help the whole church community in this desire, and they set up partnerships with a number of people called to mission in other regions of the world.
